Construction Billing Clerk

Location: Concord, CA - 100% On-Site
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay: $26-$28 per hour

A busy construction firm in Concord is seeking a detail-driven Construction Billing Clerk to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with numbers, and has experience supporting billing operations in the construction industry. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process monthly construction billing, including progress billings and final invoices
• Support AIA billing and percentage-of-completion invoicing (experience preferred)
• Review job cost data, subcontractor invoices, and change orders for accuracy
• Maintain up-to-date billing schedules, backup documentation, and project files
• Assist with accounts receivable tracking and follow-up
• Work closely with project managers to ensure billing reflects current project status
• Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve invoicing issues
• Provide general administrative support to the accounting department

Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction billing or a similar accounting support role
• Familiarity with AIA billing formats and construction invoicing processes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Proficient with accounting software and MS Excel
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work fully on-site in Concord
